Our text message program

Last updated July 30, 2026

The Exchange sends text messages to members who have asked for them. This page explains exactly what we send, how often, how you join, and how you stop.

Who we are

The Exchange is a private, invitation-only membership community in San Diego that hosts curated networking events. Messages come from (858) 299-0871.

What we send

Confirmations when you register for an event, reminders as an event approaches, practical details on the day such as parking or a door time, and invitations to upcoming events.

We do not send anything else, and we never text on behalf of anyone else.

How often

Message frequency varies, typically two to four messages per month, depending on how many events are running and how many you register for.

How you join

By ticking the consent box on our membership application at entertheexchange.com/apply. The box is not pre-selected and you choose it yourself. It reads:

I agree to receive text messages from The Exchange at the mobile number above, about my membership and the events I register for, including invitations, reminders and ticket confirmations. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

You can also join by texting START, YES or UNSTOP to (858) 299-0871. We never add anyone who has not asked, and we never buy, rent or import phone numbers for messaging.

How you stop

Reply STOP to any message and the messages end. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT all work the same way. If you change your mind, reply START to begin again.

Reply HELP to any message, or email info@entertheexchange.com, and a person will help you.

Costs

We do not charge for messages. Message and data rates may apply from your own mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your information

No mobile information is sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy, and our Terms cover the rest.
