Terms of Service

These terms apply to membership of The Exchange and to the events we run. By applying for membership or buying a ticket, you agree to them.
Membership
Membership is by application and approval. We may decline an application, and we may end a membership, at our discretion. Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred.
Tickets and guests
Tickets are bought through the site and are personal to the named attendee. Where a ticket includes guests, every guest must be named with their own email address and phone number before the ticket is issued, because each guest receives their own ticket and we need to be able to reach them.
Refunds
Tickets are refundable up to seven days before the event. Inside seven days we have already committed to the venue and catering on the strength of the headcount, so tickets are non-refundable, though you are welcome to send someone in your place if you tell us who.
Messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree to texts, we will send you confirmations, reminders and invitations. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop them or HELP for help. Emails carry an unsubscribe link. How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Conduct
The Exchange works because of who is in the room. We expect members and their guests to behave accordingly. We may ask anyone to leave an event, and may end a membership, without refund, where behaviour warrants it.
Photography
We photograph our events and publish selected images. If you would rather not appear, tell us on the night or email us afterwards and we will remove you.
Changes
We may change an event's date, venue or format, and will tell you if we do. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed.
